Explanation

We use the Past Simple to talk about finished actions in the past. Regular verbs add -ed. Many common verbs are irregular.

Examples

I visited my parents last weekend.

Tôi đã thăm bố mẹ cuối tuần trước.

She went to Hanoi yesterday.

Cô ấy đã đi Hà Nội hôm qua.

They didn't come to the party.

Họ đã không đến bữa tiệc.
